VCA Woodford Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician with a passion for leadership to join our team as Veterinary Technician Supervisor.

We are an AAHA-accredited multi-doctor practice outside Lexington, Kentucky, offering preventive care, illness care, surgery, dentistry, boarding, grooming, and more. We recently moved into our beautiful new state of the art hospital, enabling us to deliver best in class veterinary care. As one of the largest providers of companion animal healthcare in the Bluegrass, we continually invest in our team. 

Our hours are Monday through Thursday 7am – 6pm, Friday 7am – 6pm, Saturdays 7:30am - 1pm, closed Sunday.

About the Role

As Technician Supervisor, you will lead our technical team and maintain an excellent flow of services for our fast-paced practice. You will have the support of your hospital and field leaders in this role. Primary responsibilities include:

• Ensuring our team is trained to provide the highest level of care and service
• Provide a continuous learning environment for our technical team
• Forward thinking as we continue to lead our industry in patient care
• Provide one on one coaching so each team member can reach their full potential
• Staff scheduling
• Hiring technical staff
• Other duties to be discussed

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, starting compensation for this role will be $24-$28/hour, depending on relevant leadership and technician experience, skills, and qualifications.

The schedule for this role will include weekdays and the occasional Saturday.

Qualifications

• Kentucky Veterinary Technician License (LVT) or licensed in another state and eligible for licensure
• Two to five years of veterinary technician and leadership experience
• Proficient in veterinary technical skills and ability to effectively teach these skills
• Desire to practice at the highest level
