OVERVIEW:

The Project Manager – Energy will own the management of active customer orders from inception through completion for KSB’s Energy Market Segment.  In this role, you will oversee sales management, application engineering, procurement, shop operations, field service, logistics, accounting, credit management and invoicing for customers.  You'll report to the Project & Application Engineering Manager for Energy & Industry and serve as the main point of contact for customer orders.  The Energy Project Manager is responsible for supervising and tracking the project schedule and deliverables according to contractual agreements, ensuring adherence to contract terms and timely project completion. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the main contact for all activities related to assigned customer orders, including routine customer calls and coordination with internal colleagues and external suppliers
  • Establish and manage project schedules, ensuring visibility and accuracy within the ERP system; notify management of any issues
  • Manage customer invoice schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely execution; update ERP system accordingly
  • Manage project cash flow schedules, including customer invoices and payments to suppliers; update as necessary and notify management of significant changes
  • Manage document submittal schedules, ensuring timely and accurate submissions; expedite as required and notify management of any issues
  • Coordinate order closeout and transition to field service and warranty personnel, including final invoicing and documentation
  • Communicates effectively with internal colleagues across all departments and locations; serves as the main contact for customer representatives and coordinates with supply chain colleagues to interact with vendors as needed.
  • Effectively prioritizes tasks to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Leads by example, handles pressure/ conflict positively, shows self-confidence and optimism and uses time productively to meet assignments and organizational needs
  • Skilled at identifying new solutions, overcoming obstacles to achieve objectives, and adhering to legal and ethical standards
  • Demonstrates ability to apply general rules to specific problems, to produce logical and sensible answers
  • Anticipates and resolves potential problems before they escalate
  • Takes responsibility for mistakes and works quickly and amicably to resolve issues
  • Demonstrates personal responsibility in adherence to Company safety guidelines
  • Perform other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably business management or industrial engineering, and at least 2 years of successful project management experience in a related industry or with industrial products/services
  • Extensive experience in business operations across multiple functions, preferably with an international organization
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities through effective planning, execution, reporting, and control
  • Proven experience in managing multi-site operations and coordinating project fulfillment stages with functional and subject matter experts
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • PMP certification preferred

TRAVEL:

  • Limited travel (up to 5%); may include overseas meetings/training and occasional support for other domestic entities
