Position Overview
- Department: Occupational Health Clinic; HONDA of AL
- Schedule: Monday - Thursday; Part-Time Evenings
- Work Location: UAB STV Honda, Lincoln, AL

What You Will Do
Provides therapeutic massage and bodywork specifically tailored to occupational health, workplace injury recovery, and employee wellness. Supports organizational efforts to reduce workplace injuries, improve employee function, and assist in return-to-work readiness.
- Conducts occupationally focused assessments to determine musculoskeletal issues related to repetitive use, workplace strain, or injury.
- Provides targeted therapeutic massage techniques to address work-related discomfort (e.g., repetitive motion strain, postural imbalance, muscle fatigue).
- Develops and delivers customized therapy plans to meet the needs of employees with physically demanding roles.
- Educates employees on proper ergonomics, posture, and self-care strategies to prevent re-injury and promote long-term wellness.
- Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of patient treatments, progress, and outcomes.
- Ensures massage therapy area meets safety and cleanliness standards appropriate for an occupational health clinic environment.
- Monitors employee response to treatment and adjusts plans based on feedback and clinical recommendations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Currently licensed as a Massage Therapist (MT) with the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy required.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited Massage Therapy School required.
