Experience Level: 5+ years
Location: Crafton, PA

Pay Rate: $25+ Per Hour (DOE)

Overview:

Arbors Management currently has an opening for an experienced Building Maintenance Tech who will assist in the maintenance and improvements of the condition of our property in the Crafton area of Pittsburgh. This is a residential property that is subsidized by Section 8/HUD.  The qualified candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in hands-on roles that involve both routine upkeep and managing larger maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Building Maintenance Technician:

• Work with the Property Manager to plan and carry out property repairs and maintenance. 
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment. 
• Complete apartment turnovers in a timely manner. 
• Maintain and clean property grounds, building common areas, and vacant units. 
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and more. 
• Order and manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment. 
• Maintain building access systems (gates, keys, cameras, fobs, etc.). 
• Oversee small capital improvement projects. 
• Follow and enforce all safety protocols and maintenance policies. 
• Provide guidance and support to junior maintenance staff.
   

Qualifications for the Building Maintenance Technician:

• 5+ years of experience in property or building maintenance. 
• Strong skills in carpentry, painting, electrical, mechanical, and janitorial work. 
• Ability to use computers/devices for maintenance tasks. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills and a GREAT attitude. 
• Valid driver’s license required.
   

Work Conditions:

• Must be willing to work in all weather, indoors and outdoors, including occupied units. 
• Available for after-hours and emergency calls as scheduled. 
• Able to handle physically demanding tasks: lifting 50–100 lbs, climbing ladders, standing for long periods, and working in dirty environments.
