What You Will Do:

The facilities maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain various production and facility equipment.  Strong troubleshooting skills required.

  • Perform both electrical and mechanical work to makes emergency repairs from basic equipment to limit excessive downtime and production delays.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.
  • Collect and analyze data to perform root cause analysis of production equipment problems.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, oscilloscope and modern test equipment as required.
  • Perform facilities maintenance including light plumbing, electric, HVAC, preventive maintenance.
  • Build and repair wooden pallets and crates using table saw, chop saw, pneumatic nail and staple guns.

  • Order and maintain critical spare parts and supplies.
  • Follows proper lock out/tag out procedures as required. Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Maintain safe work practices at all times.
  • Ensure good housekeeping in area where working.
  • Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Follow detailed instructions.
  • Learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work with others including engineering, quality, managers, operators, etc.
  • Follow all 6S practices and supports continuous improvement activities.
  • The hours for this position are M-F, 7am – 3:30pm, possible overtime as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
