Job Description

Works with Relationship Managers and coverage team members on the day-to-day management of Corporate and Commercial Banking clients. Analyzes financial data and prepares comprehensive written analyses, analyzes portfolio credit quality, assists the Relationship Manager in presenting credit requests to Credit Approval, and identifies products and services that meet customer needs and making appropriate referrals. Higher levels may have their own assigned client relationships and may also co-manage client relationships and portfolio credit quality with a Relationship Manager to manage assigned relationships and loan portfolio(s).

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Market Relationship Managers and coverage teams on day-to-day management of ICG commercial banking clients, Including updating of KYC’s, communication with customers and prospects to collect information (financials, forms, etc.)
  • Assist with prospect and client call preparation, including pitch books, research, and pricing models
  • Analyze market and industry data to provide insights for client discussions and support strategic decisions
  • Plan and coordinate prospect, client, and COI events to position U.S. Bank as a trusted leader in the Market
  • Help identify cross-selling opportunities to increase overall client satisfaction and deepen existing client relationships
  • Improve collaboration with product partners and elevate client planning across the full suite of offerings
  • As a higher-level Associate RM, maintain assigned prospect and client relationships and co-manage client relationships with Relationship Managers
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to Junior Associate RMs
  • Assist other Markets as needed
Basic Qualifications
- Typically a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically four to six years of relevant banking or sales experiencePreferred Skills/Experience
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills- Intermediate accounting knowledge
- Well-developed relationship building and sales skills
- Effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Credit skills/experience (i.e., financial accounting, commercial lending, industry awareness, loan structuring, etc.) preferred
