Senior Network and Security Engineer

Position Summary

Senior-level administration, support, and design of Mactac North America's network and information security environments. This position will be on the infrastructure team within IT, reporting directly to the director of IT Infrastructure and Operations. This position will operate within a team of professionals in IT infrastructure with various roles and responsibilities. This position will be the highest tier of support for network and security technologies. It will perform regular upgrades and maintenance to all network and security systems and appliances. Also, the overall architecture and design of the network and security environments will be a key consideration of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture and design of the network and security environments
• Highest tier of support for network and security systems
• Maintenance and patching of network and security systems
• Mentoring of other support personnel to promote career paths for this position and others
• Collaborating in a team environment to support other IT professionals and their environments including systems and applications
• Providing collaborative feedback on IT Infrastructure Roadmap, and continuous improvement
• Providing guidance and recommendation to senior management on information security and improvements in network technologies
• Staying up to date with continuous learning of new network technologies and industry trends to provide up to date recommendations to leadership and peers
• Project based tasks, including design of new systems, to support the introduction of new solutions and functionalities to the corporate landscape
• To provide maximum value for our business partners through projects and continuous improvement of existing environments

Selection Criteria:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, business, related field, or demonstratable work experience
  • Preferred certifications in network, security, or systems technologies
• Experience:
  • 8+ Years of experience in Information Technology roles
  • 5+ Years of experience in Network Engineering roles
  • 5+ Years of experience in Information Security roles
  • Identity Management experience required
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
• Other:
