Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a full time, night shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit.

Responsibilities

  • The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment. 
  • The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. 
  • This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • RN in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

 

Preferred:

  • BSN preferred
  • 2 years' expereince in acute care nursing
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
