Reporting to the Senior Manager of Audio & Post Production, the Post Production Manager oversees a team of Specialists who are tasked with a wide range of our post-production, delivery, and archiving needs, including Ingest, Playout, Quality Assurance & Quality Control, and Editorial.
Job Description
Team Management & Training
Oversee and manage the day-to-day workload of the Post Production Specialist team
Train new team members in all tasks outlined below and assist the Director of Post Production and the Sr. Manager, Audio & Post Production, with workflow innovation and efficiency improvements
Ingest
Transcode source footage into edit-compatible file formats using Colorfront Transkoder and other devices
Provide technical and editorial assistance to film and video editors
Record live programs using Cinedeck ZX85 digital disk recorders
Ingest media into our Elements Media Library asset management system
Transfer completed programs into the Red Bull Content Hub
Playout
Conform picture-locked edit sequences to original camera sources in preparation for color grading
Lay back final color graded programs with final audio tracks
Play out completed programs for internal and external distribution
Perform standards conversions using SAM Alchemist XF, among other devices
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Perform in-depth quality control on various digital video and audio assets
Assist the Sr. Manager, Audio & Post Production, with internal and production partner support
Editorial
Media manage footage for editors
Organize edit projects
Create selects reels for producers and editors
Load music and graphics
Edit content
Qualifications
3 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree in film and/or television, media technology, media engineering, or related field
People and/or stakeholder management experience is a plus
Solid understanding of digital film and video technology and post-production workflows
Astutely communicate solutions and workflows to production partners
Passion for film and television technology and technical operations
Basic understanding of non-linear editing and color grading applications, preferably Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro and Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve
Additional Information
The base salary range for this position is $101,365 to $112,034 + cash incentives
Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience.
The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
