Description of Role/Position
The Materials Management Operator supports the LP1 Warehouse through sampling, dispensing (splitting of raw materials), storage, and movement of raw materials and packaging components in coordination with the Materials Management Coordinator in accordance with current standard operating procedures and work instructions. Required to handle and process materials using inventory control systems following GMP processes at all times. The Materials Management Operator must possess good communication skills, demonstrate initiative, and be a strong and supportive team member. Exhibits a strong attention to detail and the desire to operate in a safe and efficient manner.
Educational Qualifications/ Experience Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write and communicate proficiently in English.
Current, State-issued drivers’ license for driving internal vehicles.
Ability to attain certification to operate powered industrial equipment (forklift, reach truck, etc.) required, if not previously certified.
Additional Skills/ Preferences
Previous experience in a GMP and regulated environment.
Previous experience with material handling and inventory management systems.
Previous experience in warehousing/logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Sampling of raw materials to correct quantities for testing.
Dispensing (splitting) of raw materials to correct quantities for production.
Packaging & Labeling of materials to comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
Staging and prepping work area while wearing proper gowning and PPE.
Additional Requirements/ Information
Must complete learning plan & training for role.
Ability to pick-up and move 30-pound containers.
This position requires that candidates meet the area-specific Functional Job Description and Post Offer Exam requirements.
This role will operate in a shift position or standard days. The job may also involve some scheduled overtime and non-scheduled call-in time to respond to business needs.
Ability to wear respirator when sampling & dispensing hazardous material as required.
Ability to wear proper gowning and personal protective equipment when sampling and dispensing as required.
