The Department of Medicine is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to a senior executive. This role involves managing communications and coordinating critical information across the executive’s leadership team. The Executive Assistant will also lead or support special projects that are often sensitive or complex, requiring a high degree of discretion, independence, and initiative. Responsibilities include handling highly confidential matters of strategic importance and representing the leadership of a major University center or institute.Annual range: $75,554-$114,965

Required:
- Familiarity with the organization's processes, protocols and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
- Solid analytical / problem-solving skills.
- Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies
- Strong skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, alumni / donors, students and external constituencies, both verbally and in writing.
- Advising and counseling skills.
- Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to gather information and analyze information.
- Ability to utilize computerized information with accuracy and a reasonable rate of speed.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Knowledge of English usage, grammar and punctuation.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of progressive experience. Equivalent combinations of education/experience may be considered.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of federal regulations such as FERPA
