The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Generalist - Performance Management to join our Talent Management team based in our Global Headquarters in Solon, OH!
In this role you will perform various duties in areas such as employee relations, performance management, policy creation & adherence, audits & compliance and/or other initiatives and special projects. This position operates under minimal supervision, with wide latitude for independent judgment and requires a high level of confidentiality.
Functions:
- Partner with and advise other member of the Talent team, as well as business leaders, on HR initiatives, including, but not limited to performance management, employee relations, and policy creation, interpretation & adherence
- Advise on disciplinary actions, terminations, and legal compliance
- Own and optimize HR operational processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance
- Provide support to all employees and the Talent team on policies and procedures, accommodations, immigration, M&A tasks, and other HR-related topics
- Manage the offboarding process for North America
- Collaborate with the global Talent team on team initiatives
- Maintain the safety, security, and accuracy of administrative and employee files
- Assist with audits
- Manage unemployment claims
- All other duties as assigned
You Have:
- BA/BS Degree in Human Resource Management, or similar business focus, or equivalent of 3-5 years of experience in general HR functions in a corporate environment
- PHR certification a plus
- 3+ years of strong employee relations and performance management experience
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality is required
- Strong planning, time management, decision making, presentation, and organization skills
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships, work as an individual contributor and an effective collaborator
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong active listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful and probing questions
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem solving skills
- Ability to approach situations strategically
