Job Summary:

We are looking for a high-energy, self-motivating individual with strong analytical and communication skills to be responsible for a variety of tasks in support of the monthly and quarterly reporting of the CooperVision International Limited (CVIL) and CooperVision consolidated financial results.  The successful candidate will support the day-to-day month end close responsibilities, which may include but not be limited to: preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, data upload for consolidated reporting, investigation of variance analyses, and participation in internal and external financial audits.  Additional responsibilities could include identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline month-end close reporting as well as require cross-functional collaboration with internal business partners to provide support in executing key work streams (e.g. Tax, Treasury, etc.).

  • Prepares monthly financial close requirements for Consolidations team, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and the recording of intercompany transactions between the holding companies and other CooperVision/CooperSurgical locations.
  • Assists with monthly and quarterly analytics of the balance sheet and income statement.
  • Works to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies and procedures.  Assist in preparation of deliverables for both internal SOX compliance audits and external financial statement audits and reviews.
  • Drives timely and accurate financial reporting throughout the organization.
  • Assists in continued process improvement initiatives to assist and improve current procedures.

 

Travel: No commercial travel requirements 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Advanced level proficiency with Excel preferred
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels within the organization 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to work well in team environment
  • Consolidations experience preferred
  • HFM and Oracle experience preferred

Work Environment:

  • Typical office work environment

Experience:

  • 0-3 years of experience in an accounting role

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $58,478.00 and $77,970.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
