Who You Are and the Impact You Will Have:

As Corporate Counsel, you will support the company’s legal operations in a variety of matters, with a focus that includes general corporate matters, regulatory and compliance matters, insurance, vendor contract negotiations, internal corporate policies and procedures, along with drafting and negotiating other transactional matters.

What You Will Do:

• Overseeing general corporate legal matters

• Negotiating and drafting customer and vendor contracts as well as various other transactional matters

• Assisting with legal and regulatory compliance

• Assisting with compliance with various domestic and international privacy laws

• Assisting with the company’s data security program

• Assisting with management of the Company’s insurance program and operations

• Assisting with a variety of other legal functions such as loans, joint ventures, acquisitions, construction, real estate, intellectual property protection, tax abatements, litigation, etc.

• Managing collections on customer accounts

• Performing a broad range of legal matters and general business matters based on the needs of the company, as assigned.

• Working with and managing outside counsel, counterparties, insurers, and other third parties as needed

What You Will Need to be Successful:

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials
• Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia
• Three or more years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer working in a general corporate transactional practice

Nice To Have:

• Experience with project finance and/or asset-based lending

• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Able to effectively manage complicated legal and business issues
• Ability to effectively manage others, including outside counsel and service providers
