Azure Solution Architect

 

Orbia - Global Functions, is hiring for an Azure Solution Architect in India!

 

Main Purpose:

 

The Senior Cloud Architect – Azure Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping our cloud strategies and solutions. They are responsible for providing support for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions on the cloud. They create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products, applications and solutions. Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, they design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure that meets the organization's performance, security, and scalability requirements. Continuously analyzing the latest trends, they suggest upgrade plan for existing cloud architecture. Additionally, they focus on bringing financial accountability to the variable spend model of cloud, drive consumption-based billing, enabling distributed teams to make business trade-offs between speed, cost, and quality.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

• Understand Orbia’s overall Cloud portfolio, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and scalable cloud solutions leveraging expertise in Cloud infrastructure and Application solutions (Windows and Linus IaaS, SAP, VMWare, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, HPC, containers, Infra as a Code services , PaaS, DevOps & Advanced Application coding ).
• Apply technical knowledge and insights to create a migration and modernization roadmap using the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
• Architect solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensure technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies (e.g. Windows and Linux IaaS, Security, Networking, etc.), and Application Development and DevOps technologies (e.g. App Service, containers, serverless, cloud native, etc.) as appropriate.
• Collaborate with other Application, Technical Architects and MS stakeholders in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Ensure all solutions leverage the design and operations guidance according to the Well-Architected framework across all pillars, including performance efficiency, security, operational excellence, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Run Architectural Design Sessions to build plan for implementing solution –governing design in line with business goals. Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.
• Share insights and best practices, and connect with Engineering teams to remove blockers.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills related to Azure Platform, Infrastructure and Application remediation.
• Maintain technical skills and knowledge of market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the technical community.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects and interact daily with System Administrators.
• Maintain a strong learning aptitude and ability to learn new technologies independently.
• Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for new application initiatives.
• Implements new software/application solutions as required by the business.

 

Education:

 

• Minimum: Bachelor degree
• Desirable: Master’s degree in Computer science, Engineering or Business preferred

 

Knowledge Required:

 

• Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.
• Experience with management of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Windows and Linux IaaS, SAP, VMware, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers, HPC, and Infra as a code technologies).
• Experience with Identity/Security (Azure): Identity, Security Architecture, Security Management and Network Security.
