OPS - VPK Assistant Teacher / P.K. Yonge DRS

Classification Title: OPS HOURLY NON-SECRETARY/CLERK Job Description:

PK Yonge Developmental Research School is seeking to hire a VPK Assistant Teacher for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. The VPK assistant teacher supports the VPK Instructor in the VPK classroom during the entire instructional period. This is a 10-month appointment that begins in January, 2025. The VPK Assistant Teacher reports to the PK Yonge Developmental Research Elementary School Principal and is employed August - May. Anticipated begin date is January, 2025.

Specific responsibilities and obligations are as follows:

• Work with the VPK Instructor to monitor, assist, and work with students.
• Punctuality essential
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Follow classroom teacher's instructional plan

Advertised Salary:

$18-$20/hour

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A current Clearinghouse Background Screening with an “Eligible” status for the DCF General and Child Care items.
