Program Manager-Student Financial Aid

This position manages the use and development of the Student Financial Aid Information System (Banner). Responsible for data analysis, data maintenance, reporting, and ensuring Banner is configured to comply with all Federal and State financial aid regulations. This position plays a lead role serving as the primary contact for the Office of Student Financial Aid with the IT department and Education compliance. This role requires a blend of student financial aid expertise, technical expertise, management, and business analysis skills. Provides continued implementation, support, and maintenance of the student financial aid information system (Banner). Responsible to maximize Banner to meet MCCMS schools strategic goals. This position provides guidance to financial aid staff, student applicants, and internal and external stakeholders.
This position is responsible for financial aid fund management and the administration of all Federal Financial aid (including Pell Grant and Direct Loan) and private loan programs. This position also manages the disbursement process, reporting, and reconciliation of Title IV programs.
This position will look for efficiencies through constant oversight of technical processes as they relate to financial aid awarding and scholarship management. The position duties and responsibilities will include the implementation of financial aid strategies, policies, and procedures.
This position is a combination of remote and onsite support work. Individual must live within driving distance to any of the Mayo Clinic campuses.

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in higher education or Masters degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Familiarity with financial aid-related technology and information systems preferred. Working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and system integration.Preferred degree in areas such as student affairs, higher education, management, business administration or related field. Must demonstrate competencies in strategic and systems thinking, decision making, change management, global thinking, communication, conflict resolution, process and systems change and operations. Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methods. Must have the ability to independently manage a varied workload of projects and assignments with multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills are required.
