In this position... 

In this role you will produce the daily, weekly and monthly production schedule for the 5.2L engine assembly line and set up engine shipments to customers.

What you'll do...

 

  • Review customer requirements
  • Develop daily/weekly/monthly production schedule by model
  • Publish FCSD service requirements and schedule accordingly
  • Set up engine shipments to customers
  • Distribute necessary production, inventory, and shipment status reports daily
  • Daily review and update of DPR (Daily Production Reporting) system
  • Compliance with ASCENT system requirements
  • Review supplier part inventories for critical parts (Parts Follow-Up)
  • Perform minimum/maximum market area audits
  • Set up critical supplier conference calls as needed

 

Secondary Duties.....

  • Monitor and minimize premium freight moves
  • Support inventory control initiatives, meeting all MCRP guidelines
  • Support Dearborn Engine team production control team objectives
  • Assist in backing up MP&L salaried personnel as required
  • Support SAP/EWM inventory scanning processes
  • Support new model launch activities

 

You'll have...

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.

 

Even better, you may have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Material Planning and Logistics, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or Packaging

  • Proven track record of successfully interacting with plant hourly and salaried personnel, logistic carriers, and production suppliers

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • One or more years’ experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
