Internship Summary:CSX is a Fortune 500 company seeking future business leaders to help foster growth, efficiency and innovation. Interns are placed within the Finance Department for a 10 week immersion into CSX methods and culture. Individuals complete challenging real-world assignments, working hand in hand with leaders across the company to improve decision-making and financial performance. Finance internships provide an opportunity for candidates to experience what a role in corporate finance looks like, while allowing CSX to actively recruit tomorrow’s best talent.Internship Details: 
  • This is a 10 Week Summer Internship Program starting on May 26, 2026 and ending July 31, 2026.  
  • CSX provides optional intern housing for the duration of the 10-week program, as long as the selected intern meets eligibility criteria

  • The Summer Internship Program will include: cross-functional learning, local onsite visits, Executive networking sessions, lunch & learn, and more 
CSX provides optional intern housing for the duration of the 10-week program, as long as the selected intern meets eligibility criteria.  Primary Activities and Responsibilities:Individuals play a key role in completing identified finance projects. These projects are a glimpse into the day-to-day activities of a finance professional, including:· Cultivating relationships with internal business partners to analyze marketing, operating, and capital projects and understand economic tradeoffs to help make real-time business decisions· Providing analytical support for operations reviews, resource allocations, and financial valuations· Guiding the development of short- and long-term forecasts, plans, and strategies.· Developing and utilizing financial models to quantify benefits and drive sound, fact-based economic decisions· Consulting and communicating analyses through presentations to senior management in the department and business partners from other departmentsMinimum Qualifications:· Must be at least 18 years of age· Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related major field of study from an accredited institution· Must be going into the final year of your undergraduate or graduate program in the summer of 2026, with an anticipated graduation date in Spring 2027· Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.2 (based on a 4-point scale)Preferred Qualifications:· Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4-point scale)Knowledge and Skills:· Academic distinction with financial or quantitative interest/talent· Proven leadership ability and initiative· Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills· Ability to develop and deliver presentations to a senior level audience· Proficient in Microsoft OfficeJob Requirements:· Work inside an office environment· Communicate effectively with senior leadership/executive audiences· Work within established deadlines· Successfully complete a background check and drug test
