JOB SUMMARY:
The Loss Prevention & EHS Specialist plays a critical role in overseeing physical security, shrink reduction programs and established safety standards within their location. Collaborates with operations and support teams to mitigate inventory shrinkage and protect bottom line profits as well as ensuring safety guidelines are adhered to; fostering a strong safety culture throughout the location. The Specialist must demonstrate an ability to cultivate trust and confidence while influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments, shrink data analysis and safety assessments
JOB SUMMARY:

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loss Prevention
- Maintain access control systems to ensure physical security standards within the building
- Oversight of security processes to ensure standard practices are adhered to
- Maintain department assets/inventory and ensure the functionality of related equipment
- Ongoing role in supporting investigations related to inventory loss, policy violations and other related matters
- Responsible for communication and documentation of required incidents
- Regulation of record retention for department-specific documents
- Foster a loss prevention-rich environment that inspires a culture of commitment to shrink reduction
- Influence, guide and make recommendations on loss prevention programs that do not hinder operations
- Serve as a contact for law enforcement agencies
- Identify and evaluate areas that are causing or could lead to shrink
- Identify and promote physical security best practices
- Keep safety a top priority and report any potential safety concerns or threats
- Recommend loss prevention programs and processes as needed
- Consult with senior peers and team leads to learn through experience.
- Collaborate and support with operations, human resources and other support teams
- Assist with departmental projects as needed
Environmental, Health & Safety
- Monitor safety standards in accordance with all applicable Local, State and Federal regulations, including (OSHA, DOT and EPA).
- Coordinate safety related activities, including the tracking and reporting of safety performance to management.
- Provide and conduct training through safety materials, coaching and mentoring as directed.
- Inspect tools, machines and equipment for accident prevention, including required safety devices and procedures.
- Observe workers and evaluate job activities to determine use of prescribed safety equipment and procedures.
- Identify and evaluate detrimental working conditions and make adjustments to protect workers.
- Inspect specified areas for fire prevention equipment and other safety and first aid supplies.
- Investigate causes of accidents to identify preventative safety measures for incorporation into the safety program.
- Maintain programs and record keeping systems that track and evaluate personnel injuries.
- Conduct audits, accident investigations, and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment, and materials.
