THE ROLE
The Manager, Team Services is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations within the Team Services division. This role supports the planning and execution of events under the department’s scope, including but not limited to NFL Events, ESPN Basketball Events, XFL and emerging opportunities. The manager helps establish event structures and contributes to setting operational goals in alignment with departmental objectives. They ensure that all the processes adhere to budgetary guidelines and company standards. Additionally the Manager assists in developing strategies and exploring new business initiatives that may be integrated into Team Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage assigned events with the guidance and support of the Team Services leadership team
· Foster and maintain professional relationships with clients, serving as a representative of the Company
· Coordinate all logistical aspects of assigned events that include but not limited to pre-event site work, hotel contract negotiation and execution, team meal management, room block management, coordination of ground transportation , as well as on-site execution
· Liaise with vendors, venues and third-party partners to secure necessary services and negotiate favorable terms
· Provide on-site staffing for events under Team Services that could also include the oversight of staff and having an ability to provide a clear direction and troubleshooting in real time
· This role requires up to 25% travel annual, including domestic and occasionally international trips. Travel may include client meetings, site visits or event execution
Evaluate potential new events and partnerships, assessing associated risks and opportunities
Ensure accurate and timely management of event-related data, documentation and reconciliation
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments across OnLocation to support seamless event delivery and operational success
