Do you have a passion for production and inventory? We’re hiring a Production Scheduler for our company’s metal fabrication operations in Raymond, MS. If you possess:
- Experience in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement is highly desirable
- Experience with management of engineering change orders, deviations, and prototype requests
- Experience with production scheduling
- Strong skills in inventory management
- Understanding of kanban systems
- Experience with planning for fabrication and assembly processes
- Experience with ERP implementation a plus
- Associate degree preferred

The Production Scheduler plans and prepares production schedules for expediting the flow of material, parts and assemblies within or between departments of industrial plant, and of production coordinators engaged in scheduling production operations.
What you will do:
- Evaluate job orders, product specifications and operations sheets, parts and materials inventory lists, and production rates to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow.
- Create the weekly assembly schedule within established product line capacities to support customer order fulfillment.
- Support the implementation of engineering changes and prototype production.
- Effectively communicate with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system
- Expedite manufacturing and purchasing components to support the master schedule.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and implement countermeasures where deficiencies exist.?
- Track production and shipments to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate and interact with satellite facilities to achieve manufacturing objectives.
- Support and implement management philosophy and vision.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications Include:
- Associate degree preferred and 2+ years’ production demand planning or related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Has experience with KPI tracking.
- Experience in project management, highly desirable.
- Strategic thinking
