Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager and supports the manager with the aim of improving business performance and customer satisfaction and holding to Hollywood Feed’s #1 Policy “Do what is right by the customer.”
Qualifications
Assistant Store Manager Responsibilities:
- Communicate openly and respectfully with supervisors, corporate office, and coworkers
- Works a minimum of 40 hours per week
- 3 closing shifts per week
- 3 Saturdays per month
- Attends the annual Assistant Store Manager Meeting in person
- Ensuring that all Hollywood Feed policies and procedures are being followed, including compliance with legal requirements
- Leads employees in the Hollywood Feed Standards of Business with a clean, organized, and safe location to ensure the protection of both customers and employees
- Demonstrates leadership by maintaining excellent customer service skills
- Leads employees in efficiently operating the store location by ensuring the team completes all daily tasks thoroughly and correctly
- Ensures positive, long-term customer relationships by modeling how to resolve issues, anticipate and address customer needs
- Reaches out into the community by attending or creating events to interact with the public via social media and maintain the store’s online presence
- Works with Store Manager to support the business and store goals
- Executes administrative tasks thoroughly, correctly and timely
- Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies
- Ensures Warehouse/Vendor orders are processed correctly when received, using the company point of sale system. Also, research, analyze, communicate and correct discrepancies with the appropriate department
- Ensures that employees are thoroughly and accurately completing the required monthly cycle count but also proactively doing weekly spot inventory counts
- Works alongside team to place and rotate merchandise to attract positive attention from customers, and accomplishing related results, as needed
- Executes administrative tasks thoroughly, correctly and timely
- Supports the development goals for store employees

- Fosters and cultivates a positive sales team with the expectation of growing store sales through proper training, communication, incentives, and empowering employees to take responsibility for their job and the store’s goals
- Supports and encourages the conflict resolution process

Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
