Overview

Must be located in PA, NJ, DE, MD, or VA.

Must be willing to travel to the Lancaster, PA area as needed during internship assignment. 

 

Our Internship Development Program is designed to provide Interns with real-world experience in the banking and financial services industry. Under close supervision with a designated Supervisor, you will be responsible for observing the policies and procedures within a specific area/department of the Bank. Activities and internship duration vary by assignment. Strong academic performance is required. Previous work, leadership experience, and community involvement is preferred.

  • Start Date: May 2025
  • Work Location & Details:
    • REMOTE: includes remote work day to day (must reside within our five-state footprint).
    • However, in-person attendance at our office(s) in the Lancaster, PA area, including the Administrative Services Center (1695 State Street East Petersburg, PA) and Corporate Headquarters (1 Penn Square Lancaster, PA) as needed.
    • Must express a willingness to attend Internship Program events (mileage reimbursement offered).
    • Relocation package/support is not offered for this position.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. 8:00am – 5:00pm are standard working hours.

As a condition of employment, individuals must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for a work visa by Fulton Financial Corporation currently or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in a wide range of opportunities with tasks in assigned department.
  • Performs assigned duties in designated department to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance.
  • Completes reports on progress in internship program and gives feedback about program to Manager and Talent Acquisition team. Management feedback must indicate satisfactory progress to remain in Internship Program.
  • Intern may also participate in career training/education as needed, as well as corporate events/initiatives.
  • Duration of Internship is dependent on individual assignment but will not exceed nine (9) months in total.

Scope of Work: 

Fulton Bank is excited to offer a unique internship opportunity for a motivated student interesting in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and Supply Chain Management. This internship will provide hands-on experience in a critical initiative focused on the potential outsourcing or relocation of our current purchasing and warehouse operations. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Project Support

  • Assist in gathering and organizing data related to current purchasing and warehouse operations
  • Support the development of project timelines and milestone tracking
  • Help prepare presentations and reports for stakeholder meetings

Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market research on potential outsourcing partners and warehouse locations
  • Assist in analyzing operational data to identify areas of improvement and cost savings
  • Support the creation and maintenance of project documentation

Supplier Management

  • Assess in the preparation of RFP documents
  • Help organize and analyze supplier responses
  • Support the team in supplier evaluation process

Learning and Development

  • Participate in mentoring sessions with experienced team members
  • Develop a final presentation summarizing the internship experience and contributions to the project
