Senior Platform Engineer (Observability & DevOps)

We’re seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with a focus on monitoring and observability to join our team in Helsinki. In this role, you’ll help us build deep visibility into our cloud services and enable teams to understand, operate, and improve systems running at scale.

As part of our Platform Engineering organization, you’ll shape how observability is approached across F-Secure’s AWS-based cloud infrastructure. You’ll work hands-on with Dynatrace and cloud-native tooling, establish monitoring best practices, and collaborate closely with development and operations teams to improve reliability and customer experience. Your work supports critical services used by millions of users globally.

This role combines hands-on technical work with a broader responsibility for how we design, implement, and evolve observability across our platforms. You’ll have the opportunity to influence standards, guide teams, and help us move towards more proactive, resilient operations.

Your day-to-day may include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining monitoring and observability solutions for cloud services using Dynatrace and AWS
• Developing and promoting best practices for metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting across teams
• Working closely with development teams to ensure observability is built into services from design to production
• Collaborating with operations to improve system reliability, incident response, and overall customer experience
• Supporting teams in understanding system behaviour, performance bottlenecks, and failure modes
• Continuously improving monitoring solutions to support scalable, highly available cloud environments

What are we looking for?

• Strong experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE-adjacent roles in cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tooling, especially Dynatrace
• Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud-native architectures
• Experience operating and monitoring distributed systems in production
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work closely with developers and operations teams

Bonus points for:

• Experience with SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
• Experience working in security-focused or highly regulated environments
