Description
The Information Coordinator is responsible for security related information management. Follows applicable policies and procedures designed to protect and safeguard all residents, employees, guests and physical assets of the Academy Mapleton Hill (AMH) community.

Responsibilities
· Follows the direction of the Department lead in implementing all applicable policies and procedures designed to safeguard the community
· Maintains a systematic electronic filing system for:
o Fire Drill Reports
o Map documents
o DARS
o Signage
o Incident reports
o SOPS
· Maintains, reviews and records DARS
· Schedules weekly meeting / synopsis with Facility Director
· Acts as liaison with reception staff and as main point of contact for communications and requests
· Maintains Fire Drill schedule and disseminates Fire Drill communications
· Creates and updates the monthly security schedule, communicates changes to reception
· Creates and modifies signage as necessary
· Communicates with local Fire and Police departments
· Fulfils regular security guard duties including action as on-site first responder to emergencies
· Compiles and requests new recruit uniform needs (sizing, quantity, re-orders)
· Collaborates with fellow security guards to effectively carryout required security activities
· Performs all job duties in a manner that demonstrates respect for all residents, employees and guests
· Proactive in reporting and investigating suspicious activity on premises
· Walks patrols of buildings and property perimeter on a routine basis
· Confirms functional operation of door and locks throughout the entire community campus. Updates Schlage locks regularly
· Reports items of concern or that require attention through proper channels
· Protects residents’ rights, records, and privacy as required by state regulations
· Practices AMH’s Service Standards in all work situations
· Documents information in the Daily Activity Report and presents to leadership
· Communicates pass-down information to incoming shifts
Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, resident, and Academy Boulder matters
Required Qualifications
· Fluency in English
· Three plus years of security-related work experience within a commercial setting
· Demonstrated knowledge of security best practices
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field, a plus
· Proficiency in Spanish
· AED & CPR Certified
· De-escalation training
