We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate SR. Manager of Product Safety and Compliance.

This role, you will be ensuring product Safety and Regulatory Compliance by reviewing, evaluating, and measuring regulatory requirements against products, operations, and product changes; Work with all segments and formulates a global compliance program for MCS. Communicates results and proposes solutions for non-compliance. Lead quality and product compliance for new product launches. Provide daily manufacturing support.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Global Product Compliance:

  • Works with all segments and formulates a global compliance program for MCS regarding product safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversees global regulatory directives and initiatives, specifically with regards to NSAM, EMEA, and Asia/Pacific Rim for Hardsides, Softsides, Hydrations, Battery, Electronics, Mobile Refrigerators, Thermal Electric Products, IoTs, other consumer products, including regulations:
    • PFAS, Proposition 65, Toxics in Packaging Act, CPSIA/CPSC, FDA, CFR, EN, REACH, International labeling laws, RoHS, IEC 62133, EMC, FCC, Food Contact Safe, UN38.3, etc.
  • Overseas product 3<sup>rd</sup> party lab testing, product certifications, registrations, and markings, including:
    • CE, UL, ETL, CSA, FCC, FDA, NOM, DOE, IECEE, NRCan, etc.
  • Identify emerging trends or changes before they become enacted and work with internal stakeholders and external industry groups to manage the product lifecycle in response to the changes followed by tracking the progress of the emerging regulations through enactment.
  • Develop compliance matrixes to map out product categories and region-specific regulatory requirements (Americas, Europe, Asia, Pacific, etc.), leading and facilitating the implementation of a global compliance program.
  • Lead product safety and compliance (PSC) for new product launches globally. Work with all relevant disciplines to develop risk mitigation strategies for new products, ongoing operations, and product changes regarding PSC.
  • Interpret and organize project teams to tackle the work that must be done, when regulations are enacted.
  • Overseas product sustainability from a technical perspective and ensures sustainable materials are justifiable and traceable.
  • Research and provide technical insights to ensure product claims including Eco claims are valid.
  • Provides management and oversight for company-wide regulatory compliance activities for products.
  • Works with the Quality and Regulatory Compliance team to evaluate and oversee the organization’s policies and practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and applicable regulations.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on regulatory matters to ensure that key safety and regulatory compliance requirements are understood by product teams and thereby cost-effectively designed into products.
  • Creates, compiles and distributes reports regarding compliance, quality measures and business metrics.
  • Oversees global regulatory directives and initiatives, specifically with regards to NSAM, EMEA, South America and Asia/Pacific Rim, including regulations such as:
  • Proposition 65, Toxics in Packaging Act, CPSIA/CFR, EN, REACH, International labeling laws, RoHS, etc.
  • Oversees, development, compilation, filing and maintenance of regulatory document submissions and registrations.
  • Ensures that all testing and documentation is performed to applicable agency or other standards, and that documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Evaluate vendors' operations and products for compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
