Position Overview:

The Automotive Service Manager oversees the service department, ensures efficient and effective operations, and delivers exceptional customer service. This role involves managing service advisors, technicians, and support staff while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and profitability.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

1. Customer Service Excellence:

• Interact with customers to understand their automotive service needs and provide an exceptional service experience. 
• Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner. 
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely and accurate customer communication regarding service updates, estimates, and completion times. 

       2. Service Department Operations:

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, and ensuring efficient use of resources. 
• Monitor and maintain service quality standards to meet or exceed customer expectations. 
• Collaborate with technicians to prioritize and schedule service appointments.

   3. People Development:

• Support the training and development of service department staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. 
• Provide leadership and guidance to service advisors and technicians, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. 

Who You Are:  

• You have at least two years of experience in automotive service operations, with a focus on customer service. 
• You possess strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to coach, motivate, lead, and develop advisors and technicians. 
• You possess exceptional communication, organization, and follow-up skills, which result in retaining customers and staff. 
• You are familiar with automotive systems, parts, and service processes. 
• You are proficient in computer systems and software relevant to automotive service management.  
• You have experience exceeding customer expectations in terms of quality and are focused on retaining returning business. 
• You can help maintain Berlin City Auto Group's reputation of Honesty, Integrity, and Passion. 

Requirements: 

• Automotive service writer experience (2+ years) 
• Must be at least 18 years of age 
• Valid in-state driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record 
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
• Authorized to work in the United States
