Associate Systems Analyst

Summary

We are recruiting for an Associate Systems Analyst.  This role assists in formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-find to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.  Assists in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written.  Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs.  Competent to work on some phases of application systems analysis and programming activities but requires instruction and guidance in other phases.

 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Translates the requirements for system function to detailed program designs using the Systems Development Methodology (SDM) and project management.  Ability to work in a continuous integration development practice while adhering to AGILE methodologies when appropriate.
• Helps to code, test, configure and document programs and systems from detailed specifications using the systems development methodology (SDM) or AGILE methodology and structured programming practices to produce reliable programs.
• Actively helps supports the Team Management and Quality Improvement Process through demonstrated commitment of its concepts and tools (teambuilding, zero defects, measurement, goal setting, process models, etc.).  Department and processes are guided by the Capability Maturity Model Integration index.
• Works as a team member in the development, enhancement and support of applications that meet or exceed customer requirements.  Maintains technical proficiency by training and using the latest techniques in developing and maintaining systems.
• Acquires knowledge of existing applications for troubleshooting and user questions to be an asset to the user community.  In addition, provides twenty-four hour/day, seven days/week on-call support of critical systems.  Maintains and resolves customer support tickets that are received through helpdesk.

Minimum Education and Experience Required

REQUIRED: BS degree or equivalent work experience in Information Systems or Computer Science plus 0 - 2 years related work experience. PaperWise Document Management, Kofax Total Agility Platform, Office 365 Suite, specifically Microsoft SharePoint Online, Nintex Platform (Nintex Automation Cloud (NAC), Nintex for O365), Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Apps

 

PREFERRED:  Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps, Visual Studio Professional IDE, or Visual Studio Code

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
• May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
• May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
• Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
