Detailed Description:

Our Finance & Administration (F&A) team is seeking a full-time Equity Program Analyst to join our growth-oriented professional engineering and environmental consulting company. We are committed to creating long-term value for our employee-owners and are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented analyst to manage and enhance our equity program.

The Equity Program Analyst will oversee the day-to-day administration of the BC's equity program, including the ERISA-qualified Employee Stock Ownership Plan (Plan) and other equity instruments. This role involves managing the plan efficiently, , ensuring compliance with regulations, serving as a key liaison to employee-owners and partnering with cross-functional team members and our third-party consultants to administer the BC's equity program. The Equity Analyst will report directly to the Payroll Manager and work closely with the finance, payroll, human resources, and legal teams to support the program’s operations and contribute to the overall success of our employee ownership culture.

*This role has the option to work virtually and can be filled near any BC office, with a preference for Denver.

What you will do:

  • Maintain equity-related data repositories and workbooks, including updating information, reconciling share count and producing ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for new stock issuances/distributions and collaborate with the Legal department to manage stock certificates.
  • Provide guidance and education to employee-owners regarding the equity program, including responding to ad hoc inquiries.
  • Manage communications to participants eligible for distributions from the Plan. 
  • Maintain detail schedules tracking compensation expense and manage the stock vesting process.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of 1099 forms to participants and IRS. 
  • Compile inputs for the year-end administration activities and review outputs from the third-party record keeper for completeness and accuracy. 
  • Coordinate voting proxy process with Legal for annual Shareholder meeting.
  • Manage external benefit plan audits for 401(k) and ESOP.
  • Review and file forms 5500 with Employee Benefits Security Administration timely.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations (ERISA, IRS) and company policies related to our equity program.
  • Identify and implement policies and procedures to enhance equity administration and employee knowledge.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting, tax, or payroll.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong math acumen with the ability to work with large datasets and perform detailed calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and external parties.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting.
  • Experience in employee-ownership administration is desired.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
