Your Impact
Hearst Magazines is looking for an Associate Manager of Programmatic Operations to oversee multiple projects. You will use your experience in ad operations and programmatic to help Hearst Magazines grow programmatic advertising revenue.
What you'll do:
- Help the Programmatic team grow revenue through technical ad operations work. This includes supporting programmatic auction systems, their site implementation, configuration, administration and operations. This spans all auction types – and includes some support for advertiser-direct deals – requiring an understanding of client management and expectations.
- Leading technical aspects involved in managing programmatic and ad tech partnerships. This may include identifying issues, doing baseline investigation, research and documenting outcomes to escalate to vendor partners. Work with those external parties to resolve the issues and communicate back to internal stakeholders on outcomes, timing and next steps.
- Support on ad quality and compliance work.
- Assistance supporting our various global sales teams and vendor relationships.
- Project management of various ad tech-related implementation and optimization efforts.
Who you are:
- 3+ Years of experience using Programmatic Ad Operations Experience including usage of Google Ad Manager (GAM) & Google Ad Exchange AdX.
- Experience in managing programmatic functions such as deal setups, pricing rules, ad quality rules and reporting with Xandr, Magnite, Triplelift, Teads, Index Exchange SSPs or other similar platforms for 2+ Years.
- Knowledge of header bidding and prebid.org’s prebid.js framework.
- Support of Programmatic Ad Ops: Experience optimizing processes for supporting sales deals, auction system rules and providing superior customer service to advertising customers.
- Knowledge of identity & targeting solutions, DMPs, openRTB specs, ad tech engineering, VAST/VPAID, GDPR & CMPs, and/or data science a plus.
- Skills/Program Familiarity:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Google Docs/Google Forms
- Notion, Airtable & Slack collaboration tools
The base salary for this role is between $64k – 77K annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
