Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Rail Vehicle Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of engineering tasks as electrical, mechanical and functional on-board integration. The position is based in Italy with frequent international travels

Accountabilities

• Ensure the assessment of the Rolling Stocks Design in order to achieve full integration with other sub-systems and components.
• With regards to Rolling Stocks, contribute to the functional requirements fulfilment in Design and Testing phase and to the resolution of the interfaces among Rolling Stock and the other sub-systems
• Technical management, review and approval of supplier’s deliverables
• Preparation of deliverables related to on board integration foreseen by the contract
• Participate to on-site tests relevant to the vehicle Integration identify, addressing and solving issues

• Electrical installation, wiring schematics
• Mechanical installation
• Functional HW and SW integration
• On site HW and SW troubleshooting
• Rolling Stock, Signalling and Supervision
• Electrical & Mechanical Design
• Commissioning
• Systems Engineering

Education/Qualifications

Engineering Bachelor.

Languages

Fluent English.
