Lead Contracting

The Lead Contracting will be a key member of Attovia’s Business Development team, spearheading efforts related to contract negotiation, administration, and compliance. This person will be responsible for building and optimizing our contract management function, leading negotiation and execution of various agreements, and fostering collaboration across multiple departments. This role reports directly to the Chief Business Officer. We will consider part-time and full-time candidates for this On-Site position. #LI-Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation and execution of company contracts and agreements, aligning with cross-functional input from key company stakeholders
• Build out Attovia’s contracting function: implement contracts tracking system, build and maintain contract database, adapt/develop templates for key agreement types
• Assist with RFP and triage process for major service providers
• OPTIONAL: In collaboration with outside counsel, co-develop Attovia IP strategy and support patent drafting, submission and prosecution
• OPTIONAL: Maintain knowledge of the company’s legal documents and operations and keep a record of all legal documents and proceedings for the company

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working at a legal firm focusing on pharma/biotech, with experience across agreement types (preclinical and clinical service provider MSA/work order, CDA, consulting agreements, etc.) or in an in-house contracts management role in pharma/biotech
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including deep knowledge of Powerpoint and Excel 
• Ownership mindset, with ability to lead projects end-to-end and to operate with limited resources 
• Strong team player, excited to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
