Job Description

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing Achieve’s enterprise 3-statement financial model. You will focus on forecast updates, reconciliation between finance and accounting actuals, variance analysis, and long-range planning to support our G&A and shared services functions (HR, IT, Finance, Marketing, Legal & Compliance).

While your primary responsibility will be on core financial modeling and bridging FP&A to accounting, you will also contribute to broader decision support, strategic planning, and cost optimization efforts across the enterprise. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys detailed financial analysis, solving complex problems, and synthesizing data into actionable insights.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and enhance components of Achieve’s enterprise 3-statement financial model, with a focus on operating expense, headcount, and overhead allocations
  • Drive the monthly forecast and reconciliation process between FP&A and Accounting, including accruals, reclasses, and ensuring financial integrity across systems
  • Partner with G&A and shared services leaders to support budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning cycles
  • Support the monthly close process with financial reporting, variance analysis, and recommendations for improved forecast accuracy
  • Help prepare board and executive-level materials by contributing to enterprise planning models and key corporate financial updates
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support cross-functional strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and trade-off analyses
  • Synthesize financial data from multiple systems, applying structured analytic thinking to deliver clear, concise reporting
  • Identify and drive process improvements to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial planning and reporting workflows
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed to inform business decisions

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate FP&A, or related fields
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, GAAP accounting principles, and corporate planning processes
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills; familiarity with financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Oracle Cloud) a plus
  • Experience partnering with G&A or shared services teams on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
  • Ability to work with large datasets and apply structured, analytic thinking to deliver clear business insights
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Ownership mentality, proactive problem-solving orientation, and strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial systems integration, cash flow forecasting, and reporting automation is a plus
