We are hiring an Accounts Payable and Payroll Clerk, who will be located in-person at our Seattle (Rainer) branch. As an Accounts Payable and Payroll Clerk you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy of financial records and ensuring timely payments to both vendors and employees. The ideal candidate will possess experience in payroll processing, familiarity with accounting software such as SAP Concur and MIP Accounts (MIP Abila), and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

The hours for this position are 7 am – 4:30 pm, Monday- Friday. The pay range for this role is $68,000- $75,000 annually, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Process vendor invoices and prepare check payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Complete payroll processing for employees, including data collection, verification, and entry into the payroll system on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Enter and reconcile payroll deductions and benefit premiums accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to payroll inquiries.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and reconcile vendor statements monthly.
  • Organize and maintain current accounts payable records.
  • Prepare and submit 1099 tax forms for vendors and subcontractors.
  • Assist with departmental projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of experience in payroll processing.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to independently perform complex tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable best practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, reliability, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Paylocity payroll software.
  • Knowledge of accounting software, particularly MIP Abila.
