Payscale has employees across the US, Canada, UK and currently hiring in Romania.Key Responsibilities: 1. Engineering Leadership & Product Development

• Define and implement technical strategies for developing scalable, secure, and high-performance compensation management SaaS applications. 

• Oversee the design and deployment of data pipelines, data analytics, workflows, and integration frameworks tailored to compensation data. 

• Collaborate with Product Management, Data Science, and Customer facing teams in driving effectiveness of scalable solutions with pixel perfect UIs, intuitive workflows, compelling navigation, informative analytics, and deep data driven insights. 

• Ensure adherence to best practices in secure software development, including agile methodologies, automated testing, and continuous integration/deployment. 

2. Team Building & People Management

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team in Romania, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. 

• Nurture talent with a culture of learning, professional growth, and fast paced delivery. 

• Promote collaboration between engineering, data science, and product teams across sites to drive product innovation. 

3. Site Leadership & Operations

• Serve as the primary site leader for our Romanian R&D center, managing daily operations and ensuring alignment with global objectives. 

• Cultivate a strong engineering culture that attracts and retains top talent in the region. 

• Manage relationships with local stakeholders, including universities, industry groups, and regulatory bodies. 

Engineering Management & Delivery

• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely, secure, and stable product delivery. 

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, product quality, and team performance. 

• Continuously improve development processes to enhance efficiency, security, and product quality. 

Data Security, Compliance, and Scalability

• Ensure that applications comply with global data privacy and security standards relevant to compensation data such as GDPR, SOC2, NIST frameworks.
