Senior Solution Architect - CDF Platform

Architecture Excellence is responsible for architecture competency, services, and resources across all digital transformation activities in AkerBP.  </p> <p> </p> <p>As part of Aker BP's ambition to lead in data-driven operations, we are enhancing our capabilities on optimal integration and use of the Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) platform.  </p> <p> </p> <p>As a Solution Architect for the CDF platform, you will champion technical excellence in integrating and optimizing CDF to deliver actionable insights. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring data is transformed into a strategic asset driving operational excellence and sustainability. In this role, you will play a critical part in enabling operational excellence and driving digital transformation within Aker BP. </p> <p> </p> <p>The Solution Architect for the CDF platform serves as the technical authority in designing, optimizing, and implementing CDF’s capabilities across Aker BP’s operations. This role supports cross-functional teams, bridging technology with business needs to enhance data integration, accessibility, and operational insights. </p> <p> </p> <p><b>Typical work tasks can be: </b></p> <ul> <li> <p>Design and oversee the implementation of Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) into Aker BP’s digital ecosystem, ensuring alignment with AkerBP reference architecture and principles. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to integrate CDF with Aker BP’s applications, workflows, and systems, focusing on scalability, security, and performance. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Support the creation of data pipelines and automated processes to ingest, contextualize, and serve operational data through CDF. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and document high-level and detailed architectural blueprints for CDF deployment and use cases. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Partner with digital teams to identify and implement use cases for operational efficiency, including real-time data visualization, predictive analytics, and AI-driven decision support. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Define governance frameworks for data quality, compliance, and lifecycle management within the Cognite platform. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with operations, engineering, and IT teams to prioritize and deliver solutions that maximize the value of CDF. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Provide technical mentorship, training, and support to developers and stakeholders working with Cognite tools including performance. </p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Skills and qualifications:  </b></p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years of experience in solution and/ or technical architecture, data platforms, or cloud-based solutions, with hands-on expertise in CDF (or similar platforms). </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and contextualization processes. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Proven experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, including integration with APIs and microservices. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of industrial operations, particularly in oil and gas, is highly desirable. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into actionable business insights. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Certifications in relevant platforms (e.g., Azure or Cognite-related) are a plus. </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Fluency in English (Norwegian proficiency is advantageous). </p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>We think you will thrive in Aker BP if this resonates with you:  </b></p> <ul> <li> <p>Our SAFER values are the foundation for everything we do.
