Job Description:
Are you a talented Senior Designer with a passion for world-class outdoor power equipment? We're looking for someone who thrives on tackling high-complexity projects independently and is ready to lead and inspire a team in their area of expertise. THE DAY TO DAY...
Develop and supply technical information of high complexity such as 3D models, 2D detailed drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to communicate design intent to other groups as required. These groups will include Design Engineering, Tooling, Sourcing, Testing, Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, Technical Publications, and Industrial Design
Document and present technical information during design reviews, normally in the form of CAD model presentations and manipulations for viewing and discussion
Investigate problems and requirements of assigned projects and develop solutions in line with established project objectives
Support and may lead sub-groups of designers in technology developments that support multiple NPD and Innovation activities
Works with Sourcing, Manufacturing Engineering and platform managers to help prepare component and tooling cost estimates
May delegate tasks to other designers
May coordinate complex and multi-disciplined engineering projects from design concept to production implementation
THE QUALIFICATIONS...
Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent required
Minimum of 7 years of experience directly related to the performance of the duties outlined
Demonstrated ability to actively mentor other engineers
