Purpose

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Investigation and Adjudication, the Deputy Director for Investigation and Adjudication supports the day-to-day operation of the Department of Investigation and Adjudication, working closely with staff, university administrators, and campus stakeholders on issues related to the investigation and adjudication of the University’s Title IX and anti-discrimination policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversees interviews of all relevant participants associated with complaints and documents the investigative process.
• Oversees the university’s formal position statements in response to charges of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Texas Workforce Commission - Civil Rights Division, the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, and the Department of Labor.
