Allworth Financial was also recognized as a Barron's Top 40 RIA in 2024.</p></div><h3>SUMMARY</h3> <p>We’re currently seeking a Tax Preparer for our Folsom, CA office. The Tax Advisor is responsible for tax services provided to clients such as federal, state, and local income tax preparation, tax projections and analysis, and notice resolution. This position will involve client-facing activities, providing comprehensive tax services to new and existing clients, and assisting our advisors and financial planning team with strategic tax planning.</p> <p>This is a full-time, exempt position that will report into the Folsom, CA office. The base salary range is $80-85K</p> <h3>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</h3> <ul> <li>Apply technical knowledge to prepare and review individual income tax returns</li> <li>Review situations and transactions to determine federal, state and local filing requirements</li> <li>Analyze and respond to IRS, state, and local tax agency notices</li> <li>Participate in tax strategy discussions with clients and collaborate with their financial advisors</li> <li>Identify and resolve client tax related questions and issues</li> <li>Exhibit strong communication skills (verbal; written; presentation) with clients, advisors, tax authorities, firm staff, and management</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <h3>QUALIFICATIONS</h3> <ul> <li>BS/BA Degree, accounting preferred</li> <li>Current CPA license</li> <li>2+ years individual tax preparation experience</li> <li>Proficiency in income tax planning and compliance
