SVP Cloud Engineering and Operations

We are looking for a SVP, Cloud Engineering and Operations to join the Model N Product Leadership Team reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. This position will lead Global Cloud & Technology Services (GCTS) group within Product Organization. GCTS includes SaaS Operations, Cloud Engineering and Operations, Information Security and Compliance, Corporate Information Technology, Cloud Product and Portfolio Management (PPM) with 200+ staff members worldwide including in USA, LATAM, Europe and India. In this role, this leader will lead across boundaries and work in close collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team as well as our Senior Leadership Team along with presenting to our CEO and Board of Directors as well as work with technology and business stakeholders across the company. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the following next level teams and capabilities such as CloudOps, DataOps, DevOps, NOC, SRE, SaaSOps, Service Management, IT HelpDesk, IT infrastructure, IT Business Systems, Security Engineering, Operations and Compliance 
• 24/7 Operations - Oversee 24/7 Operations of Model N SaaS Customer Cloud Environments and internally facing IT and Security, as well as compliance efforts spanning SOX, SOC 1/2, ISO 27001 and other frameworks 
• Cultivates Innovation - Partner with Product Management and Software Engineering functions, led by members of the Product Leadership Team, to deliver on Model N SaaS Commitments and continuous innovation opportunities for our customers. Furthermore, will be expected to work with Customer Support, Sales and Services in a customer-facing capacity to support the most important strategic accounts for Model N. 
• Information Technology - Internally, the SVP will work with the business on delivery of Information technology across a full stack of IT capabilities from basic infrastructure and end point devices to CRM, ERP, BI and other enterprise applications 
• Strategic Mindset - Oversee cost effective deployment and management of technology at Model N with a focus on cost efficiency, availability, and stability 

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience and proven track record of leadership in technology field and enterprise software. Experience in publicly traded companies required. 
• Extensive Public Cloud experience, specifically AWS and preferably multi-cloud such as OCI, Azure or GCP 
• Strong communications skills including with C-Level in the organization; leadership of governance committees and ability to present including to Board of Directors. 
• Leadership experience including the ability to build and grow a team and to collaborate and influence across product lines and functional groups with extensive global international experience including US, India, Europe and LATAM. 
• Proven track record in execution, financial planning and building high performing teams 
• Experience managing large budgets, including Cloud footprint, software and people, as well as Vendor management background including outsourcing partners, large multiyear cloud commits and software royalties’ agreement negotiations 
• Strong Security experience including SDLC security, product security and corporate/IT security 
• Deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies including agile and waterfall, with practical knowledge on where to apply either of them. Strong knowledge of DevOps concepts and methods as well as modern day Quality Engineering. 
• Compliance experience with SOX, SOC 1/2, ISO, GDPR and other privacy frameworks. 
• Experience leading Corporate IT with both Infrastructure (network, storage, databases, etc) and Apps (CRM, ERP, HRIS, etc) 
• Balance of technical breadth and depth when it comes to complex suite of technologies

Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills. Positions are eligible to participate in either our employee bonus program or commission payments, depending on the nature of the role.
