Job Summary
 

The Quality Technician is responsible for all aspects of ensuring quality in expanding polymeric sand production products at the plant-level, including, but not limited to: formulation oversight and testing; incoming raw material inspection, testing, and approval; ensuring that all established specifications and processes are followed. 


Job Responsibilities

 

  • Oversight and testing of final products
  • QC of raw materials
  • Follow all established specifications and processes
  • Investigate, analyze customer quality complaints
  • Prepare and submit all required reports to Oldcastle or applicable agency and Techniseal QAQC Manager
  • Provide/produce and prepare samples for sales or for Techniseal Candiac QC Department as needed
  • Work with Regional Quality Manager and Site Manager to ensure all information is documented daily and correctly
  • Complete hourly Required Volume checks on all production lines on the retail side of the business, assuring better control on fill rates to minimize excess bag weight or any other non-conformity
  • Retaining and recording all text samples for premium and pulling required preen samples
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed

 

Job Requirements
 

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent Vocational Training/Certification, other related experience or combination thereof
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with lab and testing procedures is essential
  • Knowledge of ASTM standards for manufactured concrete products

  • Knowledge of parts and basic assembly of molds

  • The ability to record, evaluate, and report resulting data into spreadsheets 

  • Knowledge of electronics and programmable controllers

  • Computer literate experienced with Microsoft Office software

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
