Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are charged with the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

 

Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Director for TE Medical BU, the Sr Manager, Global Supply Chain is charged with the Global Planning (demand/supply) for the Device business unit.   The leader will possess the skills and aptitude required to lead a team directly and indirectly and provide cross functional supply support to key stakeholders (PM, Sales, Site Supply Chain, Finance).  The person will demonstrate a high level of decision-making skills and will have the ability to work autonomously.  There person will contribute to defining the teams strategy and lead the organization on the execution both on the Global team and partnering with the Site Supply Chain teams. 

 

Responsibilities

•    Manage the Global Demand Plan of the Device business unit for the monthly SIOP cycle and build demand consensus with cross functional partners. 
•    Lead improvements with demand planning focused on Forecast Accuracy and Bias actions to improvement demand inputs.
•    Lead Global Supply Review for the business units and drive decision-making process to resolve critical issues for workstream.
•    Diagnose service level failures and implement corrective actions on global KPI’s (STR/STS/PDR), working with sites to own and influence improvements.
•    Establish the supply chain performance targets and roadmap on improvements, directing demand team and SC site teams.
•    Create and drive alignment of global build plans partnering with Site SC & Demand team on unconstrained vs constrained including PIPO strategy.
•    Lead the development of inventory plans and diagnose excesses to inventory objectives and develop plans to remediate with sites. 
•    Develop and maintain policies and procedures for stocking strategies and lead time strategies.
•    Act as key owner in monthly IBP /SIOP cycle for demand/supply planning steps of SIOP for device business.
•    Lead SC governance on best practices and own deployment roadmap to sites driving standardization and simplification and speed aligned to global supply chain strategy.
•    Interacts with Sr management and gain alignment across the business with demand planning, customer service, manufacturing, commercial to improve overall process flows.
•    Key partner for deployment of IBP supply tool into 2 device SAP sites during fiscal year. Partnering with sites on training, engagement, and utilization of tool.

What your background should look like:

•    BS Degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related fields.
•    Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
•    Strong methodical skills with experience in financial modeling/data analysis preferred.
•    Experience in supply chain planning processes, SIOP /IBP.
•    Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence key stakeholders in a global and matrix organization and environment.
•    Working knowledge of SAP/Epicor, other planning systems
•    Excellent leadership, influencing, interpersonal and team building skills.
•    Medical device knowledge/experience preferred.
