Employee Cafeteria Cook & Cleaner (Full Time) - InterContinental Houston

Job Responsibilities

• Cook lunch and dinner for the entire property based on the employee cafeteria menu created by head chefs
• Wipe down tables and seats to ensure employees always sit at a clean table
• Scrape and pre-rinse dirty dishes, properly arranging them in the correct section of the dish pit for the dishwasher to take care of
• Set tables with clean condiments and napkins
• Ensure the microwave, hand-washing sink, fridge, food warmer, and drink fountain are cleaned and well-stocked with ice and drinks.
• Clean and stock throughout the cafeteria as necessary throughout your shift
• Carry dishes, food, silverware, and trays from kitchen to cafeteria when supply runs low
• Perform janitorial duties as needed when time permits, such as cleaning food stations and equipment, emptying the trash, mopping up spills, and sweeping during your shift

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Able to perform bulk cooking (large batches of food)
• Prior work experience as a cook
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance
• Proven written and oral English communication skills
• Willingness to be a team player and contribute
