ROLE SUMMARY
The Global Medical Director - Dermatology partners cross-functionally with medical teams, health economics and outcomes research and market access functions, clinical development, legal, compliance and commercial teams to execute activities supporting I&I Dermatology.
The Global Medical Director - Dermatology collaborates directly with country medical teams to understand unmet medical needs and the medical environment including HCP and patient perspectives, regulatory and market access dynamics at the country level and integrate needs and insights to co-create a global medical plan as part of a GLocal team.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director will:
Demonstrate deep data and disease area expertise for ritlecitinib and the alopecia areata and vitiligo therapeutic areas.
Ensure evidence generation and dissemination strategies and plans are developed and executed in alignment with the ritlecitinib scientific narrative and priority objectives.
Lead insight generation activities, relevant to area of responsibilities, understanding the external customer perspectives through peer-to-peer interactions and insights from field medical and advisory board meetings and translating this into action
Lead evidence generation activities, relevant to area of responsibilities, including defining scope of independent research, and design clinical and research collaborations, and Pfizer non-interventional and interventional studies including post-hoc data generation in collaboration with the platform functions
Lead evidence dissemination and education activities including scientific publications and scientific exchange
Lead development and execution of internal medical training curriculum in collaboration with the platform functions
Work closely with the brand XFT to provide scientific and medical expertise into different functional workstreams including the Payor Value Proposition and Market Research
Work closely with affiliate colleagues to effectively implement the global scientific narrative and operating plans.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
MD or other advanced degree required
A minimum of three years industry experience
Subject matter expertise and experience in specific therapeutic area (Dermatology: alopecia areata, vitiligo, and other inflammatory and autoimmune skin conditions) is required or extensive medical affairs/launch experience outside of therapeutic area.
Demonstrated leadership with authority
Proven track record of ability to work successfully with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team setting across countries and internationally with diverse colleagues
Experience in Medical Affairs required. Global experience preferred.
Very strong communications and peer-to-peer relationship building capacity and ability to listen, understand and integrate country and local needs
Fluency in written and spoken English required
