About the role
Primary Purpose:
Implement comprehensive program of health services for campus(es) as assigned. Provide health services to students. Promote health education and preventive health practices for students.Ā Supervise medical health professionals and/or health clinic aides as assigned.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited university.
- Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
- Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening
- CPR/First Aid Healthcare Provider Certification
- CPR Instructor Certification

Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health defects
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement policies and procedures

Experience:
- Three years nursing experience, preferably in school nursing and/or community health
Salary: Minimum teacher salary $63,664 (2025-26 Comp Plan)
