This position is responsible for the electrical systems of our campus buildings including conducting regular, general maintenance inspections, performing routine electrical maintenance, responding to wiring issues, and installing major electrical appliances for the building in accordance with company policies and procedures.
How you’ll spend your day

- Responsible for routinely inspecting electrical systems such as wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
- Identifying faults or hazards and troubleshooting system failures.
- Able to review blueprints to understand wiring placement and writing electrical maintenance reports.
- Responsible for conducting maintenance repairs on old or faulty fixtures and responding to fault requests.
- Responsible for providing suggestions for equipment replacement.
- Responsible for completing training requirements and maintaining compliance with all assignments.
- Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Work Instructions (WI).
- Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
- Requires HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Strongly prefer minimum of 3 years electrical facility maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment with preference in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, medical devices or food processing industries.
- Requires electrician qualification certificate.
- Requires familiarity with industrial electrical systems and national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office products (additional experience with systems such as LMS, ERP, etc. preferred).
- Ability to receive instruction and follow directions.
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management while working alone or in team setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
- Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements.
Problem Solving:
- Works on assignments that are routine to semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accept ed practice is required.
- Exercises judgment within specifically defined practices and policies and selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Normally receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments.
- May be asked to recommend methods and procedures for problem resolution.
