Job Description
AECOM Is seeking a Traffic Monitoring Trainer/QAQC in Pompano, Florida at the Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise Traffic Management Center (TMC)
Job Description
- Front line leader who is responsible for providing leadership, guidance & direction to control room operations personnel.
- Develop relevant & meaningful training curriculums for new personnel and existing staff.
- Administer monthly evaluations to assess the level of staff knowledge. Review evaluation results and provide feedback & coaching to personnel regarding results.
- Assist in identifying specific areas in need of improvement for the entire staff and individual personnel.
- Facilitate classroom and other training activities to meet operational needs, procedural changes/additions, or other circumstances.
- Responsible for creating & maintaining training materials and operational job aids.
- Provide periodic skills assessments, communication, feedback and/or coaching to personnel to coincide with training and/or QAQC results. Provide documented follow-up to ensure awareness to expectations & deliverables. Maintain documentation of reviews (i.e.- assessment results, performance discussions, coaching, etc.).
- Provide targeted training to staff, both individually and as a group, based on areas in need of improvement with routinely frequency.
- Perform real-time audits and report on established client performance metrics.
- Maintain assessment and audit results in assigned database.
- Provide audit results to personnel and give feedback/ coaching to personnel to drive improvement in performance results.
- Ability to clearly convey expectations & accountabilities to personnel regarding performance and hold periodic reviews to report results.
- Demonstrated work ethic & individual integrity above reproach.
- Ability to clearly convey thoughts, messages, ideas, or other guidance to other individuals both in writing and verbally and ensure comprehension & understanding. Exceptional communication skills.

- Identify current industry trends or TMC best practices and analyze suitability within Control Room operations for implementation or adaptation.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- HS + 2 or more years prior experience as a Traffic Monitoring Operator or other related experience such as but not limited to Trainers, Training QA/QC, Training Curriculums.
- Previous training or leadership experience.
- Must pass a state and federal criminal history/security background check; must also successfully complete Florida Department of Transportation fingerprint-based screening.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to synthesize information from multiple, diverse, and simultaneous inputs.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time monitoring Intelligent Transportation Systems such CCTV camera displays, meters, law enforcement radio broadcasts, answering/responding to calls and communicating to staff or partner agencies.
