RemoteCollins has a temporary opportunity for an experienced business strategist to support the development of a long-range strategic plan for an external government customer. Working as a part-time member of our team, you will collaborate with different team members to develop content for this strategic plan including relevant market, regulatory and business environment factors; customer vision, objectives and intended outcomes; specific strategic initiatives and projects to implement the plan inclusive of key technologies; detailed schedule, timeline and budget. Under the direction of the lead program manager, you will have primary responsibility for re-writing and editing content provided by team members into a cohesive whole that is clear and easily understandable by the intended audience. The basic content of each section (market/environment, vision/objectives, projects/technologies, and schedule/budget) will be provided by specialists in each area. Your role is to fuse these sections together with the right balance of business and technical detail, and draft an executive summary of the overall plan. This job is fully remote with little to no travel expectations
Anticipated time commitment and duration is no more than 20 hrs/wk for six to eight weeks with additional project potential for an additional 6-12 months.
What You Will Do:
Remote participation in daily project status reports
Participate in detailed discussions and working sessions on each key element of the plan
Review, edit and re-write content as needed, asking clarifying questions and ensuring finished product communicates all relevant and important details.
Lead content review sessions of finished or near-finished project drafts with team members
Present information and presentations to customer and stakeholders
Qualifications You Must Have:
US Citizenship
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of strategic planning experience for a large technology oriented development, manufacturing, and service organization
Familiarity with technology design and development processes and relevant aerospace technologies (though this is not a technical position)
Prior experience in developing strategies and business plans for aviation information subscription based commercial services utilized by aircraft while in flight
Organizational and time management skills, independent self-starter with demonstrated ability to work remotely as part of an extended, geographically diverse team
Writing experience with both business and technical topics
Qualifications We Prefer:
