Job Description

As a Security Officer - Business Services in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the site. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, supporting a welcoming environment for everyone. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Document observations and incidents thoroughly and accurately in daily activity reports.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance and information as needed.
• Remain alert to changes in the environment and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency response efforts as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
